The Bobcat men's basketball team is headed to Katy, TX to take on the rest of the Southland Conference at the Merrell Center in the 2010 SLC Basketball Tournament. The Jerry D. and Linda Gregg Fields Bobcat Stadium West Side Complex is the first of many improvements that will take place at Bobcat Stadium. The new state-of-the-art structure includes 15 luxury Legacy suites and a Champions Club Level with 450 open-air seats adjacent to a lounge giving fans premium comfort as they watch the Bobcats.

Bobcats Compete at Texas Tech
Sept. 24, 2007 Scarborough Specialties Classic Results Texas State opened the fall tennis season competing in the Scarborough Specialties Classic over the weekend at Texas Tech. Playing in the "Red" singles bracket, Rabea Hartmann placed third, rebounding from a 6-1, 6-1 loss to eventual bracket champion Kelsey Garland in semifinal play to defeat Julia Cime-Lima 6-0, 6-4 for third place. Hartmann also teamed with Ali Gulida to capture the consolation final of the top doubles bracket. The Texas State team of Lainy Chafitz and Andrea Giraldo defeated Texas Tech's Maria Andres and Kyla Coleman 9-7 before suffering an 8-5 loss to the Red Raider team of Kerryn Potgeiter and Simone Templeton in the "Red" doubles bracket finals. Texas State continues the fall campaign Friday and Saturday at a tournament hosted by Stephen F. Austin.
