The Bobcat men's basketball team is headed to Katy, TX to take on the rest of the Southland Conference at the Merrell Center in the 2010 SLC Basketball Tournament. One of the best traditions at Texas State is the cheer program which recently competed at the UCA College Cheerleading National Championships in Orlando, FL where they had another great showing. Tryouts for the Texas State Spirit Program are scheduled for April.

The Jerry D. and Linda Gregg Fields Bobcat Stadium West Side Complex is the first of many improvements that will take place at Bobcat Stadium. The new state-of-the-art structure includes 15 luxury Legacy suites and a Champions Club Level with 450 open-air seats adjacent to a lounge giving fans premium comfort as they watch the Bobcats.

Megan Parten 2009: Started 56 of 57 games at catcher...batted .167 with seven hits, four runs and five RBI...registered the first hit of her career in a 3-0 win over UAB (Feb. 20)...recorded an RBI in a 9-6 win against Texas (Feb. 11)...had 12 put-outs against Texas Tech (Apr. 13)...committed just three errors behind the plate...had five walks on the season...went 2-for-4 against Northwestern State recording a double and three RBI, while scoring in a 9-0 win (Apr. 20).
Angleton HS:Lettered all four years at Angleton...Played for coach Rhodes and coach Hurley...School advanced to the playoffs all four years...Was named first team all-county as a catcher, first team all-district and MVP by team during her senior season.
Personal: Born to Duane and Parten on February 19, 1990...Has two younger brothers Jim and Derek.
