Bobcats Sit in 10th Place at Wolfdancer

BASTROP - Texas State finds itself in 10th place out of 13 teams after a 36-hole opening day of the Challenge at Wolfdancer the Bobcats are hosting at Wolfdancer Golf Course in Bastrop. The `Cats dropped from fourth to 10th after carding a 325 team score in the second round that left Texas State with a 633 overall through 36 holes of the par 72 course, a score of 57 over par. Middle Tennessee State sits in the lead with a score of 603 that included a 298 score in round two, the only round by any team under 300 on the day. Texas State freshman Linn Gustafson shot a one-over 73 in round two and is one of four players tied for 14th in the individual standings. The top two individual spots are shared by Middle Tennessee State teammates Morgan Hale and Taryn Durham, who each shot a 146 over two rounds.
