Women's Golf Finishes Sixth at Canes & Cards

Miami Lakes, FL - The Texas State women's golf team closed out its regular season in sixth place at the Ryder Canes & Cards Classic hosted by the University of Miami this afternoon.

The Bobcats descended their first day third-place finish three placed after firing a 319 in the final round. Texas State finished with a 914 overall score, including its 297 first round that tied a Texas State all-time record.

San Jose State claimed first place with a three-round score of 887 (293-298-296). Spartan Erica Moston claimed the individual title with a two-under par 214.

Washington State and Princeton tied for second place with a 910 combined score and Miami took fourth place with 914 team tally. Penn State closed out the Top-5 with a 918 combined score.

Individually the Bobcats were lead by Sydney Liles who tied for 16th-place. Liles shot a 74, 76 and 79 for her 229 three-round score. Adin Stromgren tied for 19th with a 230 (74-79-77) and Amy Glazier tied for 21st-place just one stroke back (74-74-83).

Gabby De Reuck tied for 34th with a 236 (77-79-80) and Trine Mortensen closed out the tournament with a 238 three-round score (75-79-84).

Texas State's next competition will be the Southland Conference Championship Tournament in Kinder, Louisiana. The tournament is slated for April 20-22.
