SAN MARCOS - The Texas State women's basketball team will close out their season-opening three-game homestand Monday night when they host Southwestern Assemblies of God at 7 p.m. inside Strahan Coliseum.

The Bobcats are 1-1 after falling in a six-point duel to the University of Louisiana-Monroe last Tuesday. Junior Chika Ofoegbu netted a game and career-high 17 points with nine rebounds, but State couldn't break the Warhawks lead.

Ofoegbu averages 14.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game and is shooting just under 90 percent from the field. As a team, Texas State averages74 points per game, a 26-point margin over opponents.

SAGU is off to a 4-1 start, and currently lead the Red River Athletic Conference with the record. The Lady Lions have not lost a contest since Nov. 2 in their season opener to Mid-America Christian.

SAGU is coming off a 72-41 win over Dallas Christian where twelve of 13 players scored and the Lady Lions bench outscored DCC by a 28-6 margin.

Texas State holds a 1-0 lead in the all-time series, having first met SAGU during the 2007-08 season in an 84-51 Bobcat decision.

Following Monday's game, Texas State will break for Thanksgiving Day, but hit the court Nov. 27-28 at the Coors Rocky Mountain Invitational in Ft. Collins, Colorado. The Bobcats will join tournament host Colorado State, along with Delaware and Houston in the holiday tournament.
