The Bobcat football team, ranked as high as 13th in some FCS polls start the 2010 season against the Houston Cougars from C-USA. Following the game at Houston, Texas State plays three straight home games against Southern Arkansas on September 11, Cal Poly on September 18 and Southern Utah on September 25. Located outside of the End Zone Complex at Bobcat Stadium and dedicated in 2006, the Bill Miller Bobcat Victory ball sits on a marble base outside the main entrance of the endzone complex at Bobcat Stadium. All persons entering the complex are encouraged to rub the ball for luck.

The Jerry D. and Linda Gregg Fields Bobcat Stadium West Side Complex is the first of many improvements that will take place at Bobcat Stadium. The new state-of-the-art structure includes 15 luxury Legacy suites and a Champions Club Level with 450 open-air seats adjacent to a lounge giving fans premium comfort as they watch the Bobcats.

Southland TV Picks Wednesday's Texas State at UTSA Women's Basketball Game as Wildcard Telecast

FRISCO, Texas - The Texas State at UTSA women's basketball game on Wednesday will be televised by the Southland Conference Television Network, the league office announced Sunday. The telecast begins at 7 p.m.with tipoff scheduled for 7:05 p.m. UTSA, the winner of the 2008 Southland Conference Basketball Tournament, is in a first-place tie with UT Arlington in the West Division after beating Lamar 77-45 on Saturday. The Roadrunners are 18-8 overall and 12-2 in Southland play. Texas State won the regular-season title last season and is trying to secure a berth in the 2009 State Farm Southland Conference Basketball Tournament, which will be played March 11-15 at the Merrell Center in Katy, Texas. The Bobcats are 12-14 overall and 6-8 in conference play after falling 80-72 at Northwestern State on Saturday. The wildcard game is part of the 16-game basketball broadcast package on the Southland TV Network. The conference office hopes to have a decision about next Saturday's men's basketball wildcard game as early as Monday. That game will be televised at 2 p.m.
