SAN MARCOS - Following a tough 63-47 loss at Stephen F. Austin on Thursday, the Bobcat women's basketball team hosts Sam Houston on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. looking to get back in the win column.

Texas State (12-8, 5-2) currently sits in third place in the SLC West while SHSU (4-15, 1-5) is last in the division.

Joyce Ekworomadu continues to lead the Bobcats in scoring after being the lone Texas State player in double figures against the Ladyjacks. As a team the Bobcats still rank second in scoring for SLC games and lead the conference in steals per game.

Sam Houston looks to rebound from its own loss against Texas-Arlington, but the Bearkats could be in for a long afternoon, as SHSU ranks last in the Southland in turnovers and second to last in points allowed.

Lydia Gonzales leads the Bearkats in scoring with an average of 10.1 points per game and doubles as the team's leading rebounder with a 5.5 per game average.

Saturday's game will be the first of two meetings between SHSU and Texas State this season as the Bobcats dive into SLC divisional play.
