HTU (0-4) was paced by Candis Mosley's 16 points, and she was joined in double digits by Ashley Taylor and Dominique Brown, who each scored 13.

Texas State beat the Rams 49-36 on the glass, led by nine rebounds from Thompson, and HTU's leader on the boards was Faviela Parrila, who pulled down nine in the loss.

A 5-0 Huston-Tillotson burst cut the Bobcat lead to three with 15:10 to play, and the Rams continued the hot streak with a lay-up at the 12:20 mark that evened the score at 17-17.

An 8-1 Texas State run put the `Cats in front 25-18, and Texas State secured its first double-digit advantage of the game at the 7:10 mark on a pair of Kia Palmer free throws to lead 33-23.

With 5:00 to play in the half, Huston-Tillotson completed an 11-2 run that narrowed the Bobcat lead to 34-31, but the Bobcats outscored the Rams 16-3 over the final 4:57 to lead 50-34 at the halftime break.

HTU stuck with the `Cats for the second half's first 6:00, but with 13:13 to play in the game, Texas State went on a 10-0 run and held the Rams scoreless until an HTU free-throw at the 7:00 mark cut the Bobcat lead to 76-50.

A 9-4 Texas State run over the next 2:11 gave the `Cats an 85-54 lead with 4:49 to go, and the Bobcats outscored HTU 9-7 to end the game with the 95-61 win.

The Bobcats shot 47.8 percent in the game on 32-of-67 from the floor, while the defense held HTU to 35.2 percent on 25-of-71 shooting.

Texas State's next action will come in six days, when the Bobcats host Schreiner to end a six-game homestand on Dec. 6. The game is slated for a 7 p.m. tip at Strahan Coliseum.
