SAN MARCOS, Texas - The Texas State Bobcats lost their fourth conference game 86-49 to Louisiana-Monroe at Strahan Coliseum, Wednesday evening.  The loss drops the 'Cats to third in the Southland Conference standings and moves Louisiana-Monroe into second behind UT-Arlington.

The Bobcats made an 11 to 5 run to end the first half 32-28.  Tamara Thompson brought the 'Cats with in two with a lay-up to start the second half.

From Thompson's shot, Louisiana-Monroe went on a 32 to 3 run to lead Texas State 64-33 with nine minutes left in the game.  ULM ended the game by making twelve of thirteen free-throw attempts. 

Tori Talbert was the only Bobcat to score in double digits with 28 points leading all scorers, while four Indians scored double digits.  Talbert went nine of 14 (.643) from the floor and 10 of 14 (.714) from the free-throw line.  She also added four steals for the night.  Erica Putnam led Texas State with seven rebounds. 

Nina Randle led the Indians with 18 points.  Followed by Gerline Guillaume's 15 points and Jamie Brown's 14 points.  April O'Neal added 10 points to the Indian score.  Aishie Banks led all rebounders with 11.

Texas State will be continuing its home stand against Lamar University at 4:00 p.m. in Strahan Coliseum.
