Michael Trujillo will enter his second season as assistant coach for Texas State University.

The Denver native joined the Bobcat program after one season at NAU, where he helped guide the Lumberjacks to a Big Sky conference final appearance in 2007.

Upon the announcement of his hire, head coach Suzanne Fox said, "I am excited about the addition of Michael Trujillo. I wanted someone who was a positive teacher, hard worker, and someone on the recruiting trail in Texas who can effectively present all of the positive things that Texas State has to offer. Michael is a good fit for our program and Texas State."

Trujillo adds recruiting prowess to a strong staff making it second year in a row, that the `Cats three assistants who have served in the position of recruiting coordinator for college programs.

Prior to his stint at NAU, Trujillo spent three seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Southland Conference rival, Sam Houston State. In addition, Trujillo also served in the capacities of assistant director, athletic director, teacher and coach at Northland Preparatory Academy and Flagstaff Junior Academy.

Trujillo also worked previously at NAU an undergraduate assistant coach while working on earning his bachelor degree in physical education. Trujillo also went on to earn a master's in secondary education from NAU.

Trujillo is married to Tammy Harden.
