2001-02 [FRESHMAN] - First team All-Conference - Aa a true freshman, Talbert played in 27 of the 28 games, starting in 22 of them, including the last 17 for the Bobcats ... Collected the SLC Freshman of the Year award, and was a first team All-SLC selection ...She led the way for the `Cats in both scoring and rebounding, averaging a double-double for the season ... In scoring, she tallied 392 points for a 14.5 average per game which was the 20th highest in Texas State history ... In rebounding, she pulled down 269 total boards for a 10.0 average per contest which was 6th highest in Texas State history... She led her team in field goals(150), shooting percentage (.579) and free-throws(92) ... She was second in blocks (21) and also added 11 steals ... She posted many outstanding games, but had her career high of 31 points against N'western State (2/11). . . Had 24 points and a career high 18 boards in Texas State's one-point win (54-53) against McNeese (1/12).
