Five Texas State Football Signees Play in THSCA All-Star Game

San Marcos, Texas- - Five members of Texas State's 2009 football recruiting class have been selected to play in the Texas High School Coaches Association Football All-Star Game in Austin on July 21.

Frank Reddic, a fullback from Kilgore High School, and Blake McColloch, an inside linebacker from Midland Greenwood High School, will play for the North Team. Defensive end of Jordan Norfleet of Clear Brook High School, quarterback Eric Soza of Beeville High School and running back Josh Wray of Boerne's Samuel V. Champion High School will play for the South Team.

The game will be played at Darrell K. Royal/Memorial Stadium with kick off scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Reddic is a two-time All-District 14-4A First-Team selection and an All-State Second-Team choice after running for 2,013 yards and 22 touchdowns on 334 carries. He set school records of 53 carries for 347 yards against Marshall in a Bi-District playoff win over Marshall for Kilgore coach Mike Vallery.

McColloch was the District 3-3A MVP and an All-State Second-Team selection after running for 651 yards and six touchdowns on 114 carries.

Norfleet was an All-District 24-5A selection and named Clear Brook's Defensive MVP and Defensive Lineman of the Year after leading coach Paul Lanier's District Championship team to a 7-3 record.

Soza was a four-year starting quarterback at Beeville, and threw for 8,052 yards and 86 touchdowns in his career. He was chosen the District 30-4A MVP, named All South Texas Offensive Player of the Year, and selected an All Area First-Team quarterback in 2008.

Wray was a three year starter as a tailback and linebacker at Champion, where he rushed for 2,640 yards and 26 TDs in his career. He also had 391 yards receiving and five TD receptions, and registered 130 total tackles, 14 sacks, and 3 fumble recoveries during his career. He was named an All-District First Team running back in 2007 and 2008, and selected All-District First-Team defensive end in 2006 and 2007. Wray was an Academic All-State First-Team in 2008 as well.
