- James Ortiz, who was injured this past summer in an automobile accident, served as Texas State's honorary captain in Saturday's homecoming pregame coin flip.

- Daniel Jolly's 100 yards were a career-high, marking Jolly's first 100-yard game in a Bobcat Uniform. - With 15 tackles, Jeremy Castillo moved past Jimmy Nelms (1984-87) into tenth place all-time in tackles with 292 career stops. He now needs 14 to pass Arnold Baker (1984-87) and move into ninth place on the all-time list.
