Head Coach David Bailiff
Penalties are what kept them in the game in the first half, and that's my fault. I've got to do a better job getting these guys disciplined and teaching them technique. We're going to continue to work hard as a football team, and I'm going to coach these guys on Monday when I see them like we're 5-0. We're going to come up with the best game plan we've ever had against McNeese and we're not going to give up. You have to take the good with the bad and right now it takes some pretty thick skin but we're going to continue to improve.

On what he told the team after the game...
I told them we're going to go to work on McNeese tonight. We're going to treat them like they're 5-0 and not let them hang their heads. We will play a great football game next Saturday.

On the way the team played in the first half...
We were very crisp offensively and were flying around defensively. We played football the way it's supposed to be played in the first half. The goal line stand was unbelievable right before half time. We talked to them at half time about finishing stronger and playing with passion, and we've got to work on our finishing.

On the difference in the run defense each half...
Some of the time we weren't fitting the overlays right. In the two-back they create a gap on you, and you've got to have the proper field distribution. My educated guess is that we were trying so hard to make a play, we weren't where we were supposed to be.

On refuting the notion that the Bobcats don't play clean...
We play clean. We play hard. We would never not play clean. This will always be a classy program. Any guy we get that's not playing clean, they won't be a Bobcat.

Bobcat Quarterback Bradley George
On the loss...
It's over now. There's nothing we can do about it now, so we've got to put this behind us and get ready for McNeese.

On his connection with Chase Wasson during the game...
They ran what we call a Tampa 2 defense, and it's kind of built into the play for Chase (Wasson) and Morris Crosby are over the middle just trying to find windows. I started to feel pretty good with them getting in that window and getting in that crease. We started getting a little rhythm and hopefully we can keep it rolling for next week.

Bobcat Receiver Chase Wasson
On the number of penalties...
That's just kind of how the ball is rolling for us right now. I think we need to keep playing hard and getting after people. They're going to call a couple of holding penalties and whatever because that kind of stuff happens in football, but at the same time you can't play the game on eggshells. I think at times we're playing so aggressive that maybe it's hurting us, but that's our mentality and the way we're going to continue to play. We've got to get mentally tougher and learn when to hold and when to let go because it's definitely hurting us right now.

Bobcat Running Back Stan Zwiggi
On how to respond to the loss...
We've got to use this game as fuel for next week and knowing that we have to win. We have to come out playing to win.
