Heads into the fall as the expected starter at strong safety for Texas State ... last year as a junior college transfer, started four games at strong safety after originally playing at cornerback for the Bobcats ... very physical player who has good cover skills ... probably the best competitor in the secondary and played in all 11 contests last year ... will be a good leader in the secondary this fall.

2004: Was among the top 10 in tackles last year as a junior ... was in on 31.5 total stops, registering 24 solo tackles and 15 assists ... among his stops were two tackles for loss and 1.5 quarterback sacks for -11 yards ... also had an interception and broke up three passes during the year ... lone interception of the year came at Cal Poly where he also had four unassisted tackles along with two assists ... made the move from corner to safety prior to Texas State's Southland Conference opener against Stephen F.
