Moves from defensive back to Sam linebacker in Texas State's new 43 defense ... took some time to grasp the new defense but the learning curve moved into his favor during spring drills ... once the system clicked in and he had a moment of clarity, began to really pick up the nuances of the position ... has been in the Texas State system three seasons now after transferring from Oklahoma State ... two-time honoree on the Southland Conference Commissioner's Academic list ... also a two-time Oak Farms Dairy Academic Award recipient at Texas State.

2006: Registered 15 tackles during sophomore season ... twice registered a season-high four tackles during the season ... had four stops including an assisted tackle for lost yards in road game at Kentucky ... also had four stops including a tackle for lost yardage against Nicholls State ... a week earlier had three tackles in road game at Northwestern State.
