The Bobcat football team, ranked as high as 13th in some FCS polls start the 2010 season against the Houston Cougars from C-USA. Following the game at Houston, Texas State plays three straight home games against Southern Arkansas on September 11, Cal Poly on September 18 and Southern Utah on September 25. Traditions Spotlight
Located outside of the End Zone Complex at Bobcat Stadium and dedicated in 2006, the Bill Miller Bobcat Victory ball sits on a marble base outside the main entrance of the endzone complex at Bobcat Stadium. All persons entering the complex are encouraged to rub the ball for luck.

Facilities Spotlight
The Jerry D. and Linda Gregg Fields Bobcat Stadium West Side Complex is the first of many improvements that will take place at Bobcat Stadium. The new state-of-the-art structure includes 15 luxury Legacy suites and a Champions Club Level with 450 open-air seats adjacent to a lounge giving fans premium comfort as they watch the Bobcats.

2008: Played in eight games as a reserve defensive end and long snapper on special teams ... recorded seven tackles, including four solo stops ... had three tackles for 21 yards in losses, including two quarterback sacks.
2007: Walked-on after transferring from San Jacinto Junior College ... made eight appearances on the field ... registered three unassisted tackles during the season ... first career solo stop came against McNeese State ... also owned a forced fumble against the SLC championship team ... season-best two tackles split evenly came against Southeastern Louisiana ... finished the season with five tackles.
High School: Three-year starter at tight end at Hargrove High School in Huffman ... was a unanimous All-District 22-3A selection at tight end ... caught 15 passes for 250 yards ... had four touchdown receptions ... named a team captain on district championship and area finalist squad ... prep coach was John Baker.
Personal: Son of Jim and Michele Pier ... born June 13, 1987 ... industrial technology major.
