The Bobcat Baseball team is off to another great start in 2010 with major sweeps over the likes of Houston and Penn State. The Bobcats still have premium home games versus Texas A&M, Baylor, TCU and the rest of the Southland Conference.

One of the best traditions at Texas State is the cheer program which recently competed at the UCA College Cheerleading National Championships in Orlando, FL where they had another great showing. Tryouts for the Texas State Spirit Program are scheduled for April.

The Jerry D. and Linda Gregg Fields Bobcat Stadium West Side Complex is the first of many improvements that will take place at Bobcat Stadium. The new state-of-the-art structure includes 15 luxury Legacy suites and a Champions Club Level with 450 open-air seats adjacent to a lounge giving fans premium comfort as they watch the Bobcats.

Has moved from tackle to tight end and back to tackle ... has had a recommitment to football and his improvement during fall camp will be an indicator of his role during the upcoming season.
Arizona: Played in nine games, starting four during the 2003 season for the Wildcats ... caught four passes for 34 yards and two touchdowns during the year ... red-shirted the 2002 season at Arizona.
Clark High School: Prepped at Clark High School in San Antonio for Coach Mike Robbins ... member of Clark's 2002 undefeated district championship team ... squad went on to capture bi-district title and was an area finalist ... caught 20 passes for 260 yards and five touchdowns as a senior ... unanimous first-team All-District 27-5A selection who was also named First-Team All-San Antonio ... an all-state selection as well ... was a finalist for Dave Campbell's Texas Football Lone Star All-Star Team ... was a team captain senior year ... also played high school baseball for Coach Tim Goins and lettered two seasons for Clark's basketball team.
Personal: Born Jan. 23, 1984 ... son of Larry and Cindy Padron ... exercise and sports science major who is also minoring in history.
