The Bobcat football team, ranked as high as 13th in some FCS polls start the 2010 season against the Houston Cougars from C-USA. Following the game at Houston, Texas State plays three straight home games against Southern Arkansas on September 11, Cal Poly on September 18 and Southern Utah on September 25. Traditions Spotlight
Located outside of the End Zone Complex at Bobcat Stadium and dedicated in 2006, the Bill Miller Bobcat Victory ball sits on a marble base outside the main entrance of the endzone complex at Bobcat Stadium. All persons entering the complex are encouraged to rub the ball for luck.

Facilities Spotlight
The Jerry D. and Linda Gregg Fields Bobcat Stadium West Side Complex is the first of many improvements that will take place at Bobcat Stadium. The new state-of-the-art structure includes 15 luxury Legacy suites and a Champions Club Level with 450 open-air seats adjacent to a lounge giving fans premium comfort as they watch the Bobcats.

2008: Saw action all 13 games last season ... ended the year with 22 tackles ... had 11 solo stops ... recorded two tackles for lost yardage ... also broke up one pass ... registered season-best five tackles, two of which were unassisted at Northern Colorado... registered solo sack for five yards ... had four tackles, including one for a loss of two yards versus Texas Southern ... assisted on three tackles at Montana.
2007: Saw action all but one contest last season and made three starts ... first career start came against Cal Poly, however first tackle came in the Texas State's contest at Baylor ... registered three tackles, two of which were unassisted ... totaled the year with 14 tackles ... recorded one tackle for five lost yards against Northwestern State ... also registered season-best five tackles, two of which were unassisted ... recorded a solo sack for five yards.
High School: Team captain for San Marcos squad which had a magical run through the Class 5A state playoffs in 2006 ... team posted an 8-6 record and was a Class 5A state quarterfinalist ... two-way starter who was also the Rattlers' punter ... rushed for 1,102 yards on 111 carries as a starting running back ... averaged better than 10 yards per carry ... defensively, started at free safety and registered 81 tackles ... for his career had 146 stops and nine interceptions ... an All-District 25-5A First-Team performer as both a running back and defensive back in 2006 ... had a memorable 19-yard touchdown catch at the end of the first half of San Marcos' Class 5A Quarterfinal game against San Antonio MacArthur ... score helped tie the game at 22-22 at intermission ... also had nine tackles and broke up a pair of passes in the game ... also played basketball and ran track at San Marcos ... was a regional qualifier in the 110m hurdles and as a member of San Marcos High's 4x200m relay team.
Personal: Born Oct. 7, 1988 ... son of Theodore and Shirley Miller ... major is exercise and sports science.
