The Bobcat football team, ranked as high as 13th in some FCS polls start the 2010 season against the Houston Cougars from C-USA. Following the game at Houston, Texas State plays three straight home games against Southern Arkansas on September 11, Cal Poly on September 18 and Southern Utah on September 25. Traditions Spotlight
Located outside of the End Zone Complex at Bobcat Stadium and dedicated in 2006, the Bill Miller Bobcat Victory ball sits on a marble base outside the main entrance of the endzone complex at Bobcat Stadium. All persons entering the complex are encouraged to rub the ball for luck.

Facilities Spotlight
The Jerry D. and Linda Gregg Fields Bobcat Stadium West Side Complex is the first of many improvements that will take place at Bobcat Stadium. The new state-of-the-art structure includes 15 luxury Legacy suites and a Champions Club Level with 450 open-air seats adjacent to a lounge giving fans premium comfort as they watch the Bobcats.

Started seven of the Bobcats' games as a junior despite being hampered by injuries during the season ... is an extremely smart player who makes all the calls up front from his center position ... last year was named to the Hibernia Bank/SLC All-Academic Team ... one of a league-high six selections from Texas State who were named to the all-academic squad ... also a two-time, Oak Farms Dairy Academic Award Recipient, maintaining better than a 3.00 grade point average ... didn't go through the spring this season because of injuries ... the team will look for him to come back healthy in the fall and play a full season ... strong player who can bench 435 pounds and squats the house.
2005: Started first four games of the season as well as Southland Conference contests against Northwestern State, Nicholls State and McNeese State ... member of an offensive front which blocked for a unit which ranked 11th in Division I-AA ... the Bobcats averaged 439.07 yards per game during an 11-3 championship season ... team ranked 15th in rushing yards, averaging 228.43 yards per game ... `Cats also averaged 210.64 yards through the air ... squad's 37 points per game ranked eighth nationally.
2004: Really came on and played well the second half of the season ... as a sophomore started the Southland Conference opener against Stephen F. Austin ... went on to start every Southland Conference game ... played for an offense which averaged 190.5 yards rushing and 343.2 yards of total offense.
Judson High School: Member of Judson's 2002 state championship team ... prep squad posted a 14-1 record ... was named to the Associated Press All-State Team ... also named First-Team All-San Antonio as well as selected all-district ... played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in 2003, playing for the West squad ... also a track standout ... was a state champion in the discus ... also the district and regional champion ... broke the San Antonio city record as well as school mark with a throw of 195-feet, 8-inches.
Personal: Born Nov. 1984 in Nurnberg, Germany ... son of Mark and Julia Koalenz ... management major at Texas State.
