2004: Took over the kicking chores on field goals and point-after tries when the Bobcats' traveled to McNeese State ... in a game in which Texas State snapped a 17-game road losing streak, connected on a 34-yard field goal in the first quarter for the Bobcats' first points en route to a 54-27 victory ... was 7-for-7 in point-after tries against the Cowboys ... was 2-for-2 in field goal attempts, drilling a 20-yarder against Sam Houston State the final game of the season ... for the year was 13-for-14 in PATs and finished with 19 points to rank sixth in scoring.
Navarro College: Converted on 7-of-12 field goals as a sophomore at Navarro and for his career was 16-of-26 ... was named the all-conference kicker both seasons at Navarro ... junior college coach was Chuck Lawrence.
Corsicana High School: Did not play football until his senior year in high school ... four-year letter winner as a midfielder on Corsicana's soccer team ... converted 11-of-15 field goal attempts as a senior ... was named First-Team All-District 14-4A and First-Team All-Golden Circle at kicker ... also selected second-team all-state ... was named Corsicana's Scholastic and Special Teams Player of the Year ... Jeff Berry-coached team were state quarterfinalists and district champions ... on the soccer pitch was named the offensive MVP of District 14-4A as well as the All-Golden Circle Soccer Player of the Year ... scored 24 goals and had seven assists ... two-time first-team all-district pick ... prep team were district champs junior year and state quarterfinalists senior season ... named the team's defensive player of the year as a junior.
