Earned All-Southland Conference Honorable Mention honors after ending the 2007 season having made 60 straight extra-point attempts, including 37 straight last season...made 10 of his 15 field goal attempts...kicked a career-long 52-yard field goal against Southeastern Louisiana...also kicked a 48-yard field goal versus South Dakota State, a 46-yard field goal at his former school, Baylor, and a 40-yard field goal against Cal Poly...was 2-of-2 in his field goal attempts versus Baylor, McNeese State and Northwestern State.

Handled most of the Bobcats' place kicking chores as a sophomore...very good student who was an Oak Farms Dairy Academic Award recipient ...saw first playing time during Texas State's Southland Conference opener against Stephen F. Austin...made a pair of field goals in the SFA game, connecting from 27 and 28 yards out...went on to successfully kick 10 field goals on 11 attempts...was also perfect on 23 point-after attempts...led the Bobcats with 53 points scored...only missed field goal attempt was a 44-yarder at Northwestern State...went on to drill a 46-yarder in the final minute of the first half, tying the game with the Demons at 10-10 heading to intermission...46-yard kick at NSU is currently a career high...made 8-of-8 field goals from inside the 40 and was 2-for-3 from 40+ yards...named Second-Team All-Southland Conference at the conclusion of the year.
