The Bobcat men's basketball team is headed to Katy, TX to take on the rest of the Southland Conference at the Merrell Center in the 2010 SLC Basketball Tournament. One of the best traditions at Texas State is the cheer program which recently competed at the UCA College Cheerleading National Championships in Orlando, FL where they had another great showing. Tryouts for the Texas State Spirit Program are scheduled for April.

The Jerry D. and Linda Gregg Fields Bobcat Stadium West Side Complex is the first of many improvements that will take place at Bobcat Stadium. The new state-of-the-art structure includes 15 luxury Legacy suites and a Champions Club Level with 450 open-air seats adjacent to a lounge giving fans premium comfort as they watch the Bobcats.

High School: Threw for 2,285 yards and 15 touchdowns and rushed for 168 yards and five more scores as a senior at Garland's Lakeview Centennial High School ... ranked No. 10 in the state in Class 5A passing yards according to the Texas High School Coaches Association's statistical rankings ... completed 158-of-301 passes ... was a unanimous selection as team's most valuable player as a junior, passing for 2,118 yards and 13 TDs ... ranked No. 10 in the DFW Metroplex's area statistical rankings by the Dallas Morning News ... threw for 909 yards and seven touchdowns in six games after becoming Lakeview's starting quarterback as a sophomore ... was named District 11-5A's Sophomore of the Year by the Morning News ... two-sport athlete at Lakeview who averaged 19 points per game in basketball ... prep football coach was Don Willis while Tony Mauldin was the head coach for Dillard and the Patriot basketball team
