The Bobcat men's basketball team is headed to Katy, TX to take on the rest of the Southland Conference at the Merrell Center in the 2010 SLC Basketball Tournament. One of the best traditions at Texas State is the cheer program which recently competed at the UCA College Cheerleading National Championships in Orlando, FL where they had another great showing. Tryouts for the Texas State Spirit Program are scheduled for April.

The Jerry D. and Linda Gregg Fields Bobcat Stadium West Side Complex is the first of many improvements that will take place at Bobcat Stadium. The new state-of-the-art structure includes 15 luxury Legacy suites and a Champions Club Level with 450 open-air seats adjacent to a lounge giving fans premium comfort as they watch the Bobcats.

2008: Saw extensive action and played a big role in Texas State's offensive success in the first four games as a tight end before sitting out the rest of the season with an injury.
2007: Was a starting tight end during the final two games of the season against Nicholls State and Sam Houston State ... played in 10 games overall as a tight end.
College: Joined the Texas State program from Texas A&M-Kingsville where he was a redshirt his only year there.
High School: Was named All-Area First-Team ... selected All-District 24-4A Second-Team as a senior ... played tight end for bi-district championship team which posted a 10-2 record ... prep coach was Mark Wiatrek ... played first base and pitched for Foster's baseball team.
Personal: Son of John and Linda Brooks ... born Sept. 24, 1986 in Houston ... exercise and sports science major who is focusing on health and fitness management.
