The Bobcat Baseball team is off to another great start in 2010 with major sweeps over the likes of Houston and Penn State. The Bobcats still have premium home games versus Texas A&M, Baylor, TCU and the rest of the Southland Conference.

One of the best traditions at Texas State is the cheer program which recently competed at the UCA College Cheerleading National Championships in Orlando, FL where they had another great showing. Tryouts for the Texas State Spirit Program are scheduled for April.

Facilities Spotlight
The Jerry D. and Linda Gregg Fields Bobcat Stadium West Side Complex is the first of many improvements that will take place at Bobcat Stadium. The new state-of-the-art structure includes 15 luxury Legacy suites and a Champions Club Level with 450 open-air seats adjacent to a lounge giving fans premium comfort as they watch the Bobcats.

2009: Played in 11 games... had 24 solo tackles and 28 assisted tackles for a total of 52... he registered 3 tackles for a loss of 12 yards, his best was against Stephen F. Austin with a loss of 9 yards... had one sack for minus 8 yards... and had four quarterback hurries... caused one fumble against Southeastern Louisiana and recovered two fumbles against Texas Southern.
2008: Sat out the season as a redshirt.
High School: An All-District First-Team tight end and linebacker for 10-4 state semifinalist Waller High School ... Rivals.com two-star recruit ... high school coach was Jim Phillips
Personal: Born Oct. 3, 1990 ... son of Ester Jackson ... brother of former Bobcat defensive lineman, Wellington Deshield.
