One of the best traditions at Texas State is the cheer program which recently competed at the UCA College Cheerleading National Championships in Orlando, FL where they had another great showing. Tryouts for the Texas State Spirit Program are scheduled for April.

The Jerry D. and Linda Gregg Fields Bobcat Stadium West Side Complex is the first of many improvements that will take place at Bobcat Stadium. The new state-of-the-art structure includes 15 luxury Legacy suites and a Champions Club Level with 450 open-air seats adjacent to a lounge giving fans premium comfort as they watch the Bobcats.

2008: Played in the final 11 games as an offensive lineman and tight end ... caught one pass for four yards against Montana in the FCS Playoffs ... played three games as a reserve guard and started four games at left guard before switching positions to tight end.
College: Transferred to Texas State from LSU where he spent two seasons with the Tigers ... sat out the 2005 season as a redshirt ... member of LSU's team in 2006 and 2007 ... began his collegiate career as a tight end before switching to the offensive line during the 2007 spring practice.
High School: One of the top tight end prospects in the State of Texas ... ranked as the nation's No. 11 tight end by Collegefootballnews.com and No. 15 by ESPN ... member of the Houston Chronicle Top 100 for the State of Texas ... caught 16 passes for 398 yards and four touchdowns as a senior in a tough Texas 5A District ... played in a run-oriented offensive scheme ... had knee surgery following his junior season after suffering an MCL injury ... returned for the 2003 5A state championship game ... caught 20 passes for 260 yards and 7 touchdowns in seven games as a junior.
Personal: Born Sept. 25, 1986 ... majoring in applied arts and sciences ... joined his dad in running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, when he was 16 years old.
