OREM, Utah - Chris Bailey scored 15 points and Pierre Thomas added 14 points on 5-for-7 shooting as Utah Valley State defeated Texas State 77-45 Saturday.

With the win, Utah Valley State improved to 1-2 while Texas State (0-2) will look for its first victory when it opens at home Wednesday against Texas-Permian Basin.

The Bobcats did not have a player score in double figures as they shot just 28 percent from the field. Charles Dotson scored nine points and had 10 rebounds off the bench to lead Texas State. Brandon Bush added eight points for the `Cats.

Utah Valley State shot better than 50 percent from the field.
