SAN MARCOS - Markee White scored 10 points and had a key steal with 16 seconds to play as Texas State came from behind to beat Louisiana-Monroe 54-52 Wednesday at Strahan Coliseum.

Texas State (12-11, 6-6 in the Southland Conference) scored the final five points to erase a UL-Monroe lead. The Indians (7-15, 1-10) led 52-49 when White came up with a defensive rebound with 2:10 to play. At the other end of the floor, Anthony Dill knocked down a pair of free throws with 1:56 left to cut ULM's lead to one point, 52-51.

After a defensive rebound of a Cecil Hood shot by Dill, Roderick Adams went to the line for two free throws at both the 1:10 mark and with 41 seconds to play. The freshman would make only the back ends of the two-free throw attempts but his second attempt with 41 seconds to play to put the Bobcats up 53-52.

White would then come up with his tip of a Adrian Harper pass with 16 seconds left and Josh Naylor made the first of two free throws to give the `Cats a 54-52 lead. But Naylor would miss his second attempt and have a streak of 40 straight from the line come to an end.

Hood, who was averaging a team-leading 11.2 points per game, would miss a shot that Lance Burroughs rebounded but the Bobcat would fall to the court and be called for traveling with three seconds left. After timeouts by both teams, DeAndre Alexander had a shot blocked by Dill and the clock expired.

Naylor scored a team-high 11 points. Both Daryl Mason and RoShon Jacobs finished with a game-high 12 points for the Indians. Hood was held to two points on 1-for-8 shooting.
