The Bobcat men's basketball team is headed to Katy, TX to take on the rest of the Southland Conference at the Merrell Center in the 2010 SLC Basketball Tournament. One of the best traditions at Texas State is the cheer program which recently competed at the UCA College Cheerleading National Championships in Orlando, FL where they had another great showing. Tryouts for the Texas State Spirit Program are scheduled for April.

The Jerry D. and Linda Gregg Fields Bobcat Stadium West Side Complex is the first of many improvements that will take place at Bobcat Stadium. The new state-of-the-art structure includes 15 luxury Legacy suites and a Champions Club Level with 450 open-air seats adjacent to a lounge giving fans premium comfort as they watch the Bobcats.

2009: Made two starts in his nine appearances on the field ... started in two games against Southland-foe Texas A&M-Corpus Christi ... batted .083 ... while rallying for lone hit of the season, went 1-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI against Prairie View A&M ... was hit by a pitch once.
2008: Will compete for playing time after taking a red-shirt last season
2007: Saw action in 11 games ... recorded first RBI of the season against Texas Southern (Feb. 16) ... tacked on an assist in the same series against the Tigers ... scored first-career run against UTSA (May 24) ... ended the season with a 1.000 fielding percentage.
High School: Earned three letters under head coach Rick Carpenter ... saw time at middle infield and pitched ... led the team to a 23-8 mark his senior year at EHS ... garnered 20-5A All-District honors as well, helping the Knights to the 2006 district title.
Personal: Clint Vest was born Dec. 26 in Houston, Texas ... son of Matt and Melanie Vest ... father works in sales, mother is a school nurse ... has two younger siblings, Drew (17) and Will (12) ... undeclared major.
