SAN MARCOS - The Texas State women's cross country program is ranked 12th in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Associations (USTFCCCA) Division I Women's Cross Country South Central Regional Rankings. Texas State comes off a weekend where the women's team traveled to Oklahoma State University for the 72nd Annual Cowboy Jamboree.

The Texas State women's cross country "A" team placed 13th out of 25 at the Cowboy Jamboree. The Bobcats competed on the 6,000-meter course, where Northern Arizona won the team crown followed by Oklahoma State and Miami (OH) to complete the Top 3 team finishes.

Tenley Determan led all Bobcats with a 37th place finish crossing the line in 22:28. Heather Bullin was right behind her in 43rd place with a time of 22:36. Amanda McKinney, Sandra Venegas and Kelly Butler rounded out the Top 5 for Texas State.

Ranked first in the South Central is Arkansas, followed by Baylor and Rice; SMU and Texas round out the top five. Completing the Top 15 are Texas A&M, A&M-Corpus Christi, Houston, Stephen F. Austin, TCU, Tulane, Texas State, UT Arlington, McNeese State and UTSA.

This is the second straight week that the women's team has been ranked.
