Final Stats

SAN ANTONIO - Both Texas and Texas-San Antonio swept dual meets with Texas State University Monday at the I-35 Cross Country Challenge held at UTSA.

With the event being the final one before next week's Southland Conference championship, Texas State sent a young team which was led by Matt Renner on the men's side, who placed 11th with a time of 10:10 on the two-mile course. Katia Kostetchaya was the Bobcat women's team's top finisher with a time of 12:40 on the same course.

Texas won the men's dual defeating UTSA 15-40 and Texas State 15-40. UTSA defeated Texas State 16-39. On the women's side, UTSA defeated Texas 20-49 and Texas State 15-40 while Texas defeated Texas State 22-33.

Texas State's leading runners, who did not compete Monday, will continue training this week for the Southland Conference championship slated for Monday in Beaumont.
