Texas Invitational Team Results l Men's Results l Women's Results

Texas State's Tenley Determan has been named the Southland Conference Cross Country Athlete of the Week after leading the Bobcats to the team title and capturing individual medalist honors at the Texas Invitational over the weekend.

Determan finished the 5K course in 18:51, beating teammate Whitney Perkins to the finish line by three seconds. Texas State had three of the top four finishers in the meet en route to the team title. Bobcat freshman Heather Bullin placed fourth in the meet.

Texas State finished won the team championship, scoring 34 points. Texas-San Antonio was second with 59 points.

On the men's side, Texas State finished fourth with 115 points just behind SLC rival UTSA who scored 107 points.

Alex Escontrias was the Bobcat men's top finisher. He clocked a time of 20:04. on the 6.305K course. Escontrias placed 15th right ahead of teammate Andrew McCartin who placed 16th in a time of 20:05.

Texas State returns to action Oct. 27th when the Bobcats run at the Southland Conference championship in Nacogdoches.
