Bynum enters his second year as an assistant track and field coach at Texas State University. He will be in charge of coaching the sprinters, hurdlers, and coordinating team travel, home meet preparation, equipment and recruiting.
Bynum was a four-year member of the Bobcat track and field team from 2003-07. He earned All-Southland Conference honors in the 60-meter hurdles in 2007. He was named team captain his senior season.
He graduated in 2007 from Texas State with a bachelor's of business administration in computer information systems.
Bynum and his fiancé, assistant coach track and field coach Rebekah Vickers, plan to get married in December 2008.
