The Bobcat men's basketball team is headed to Katy, TX to take on the rest of the Southland Conference at the Merrell Center in the 2010 SLC Basketball Tournament. One of the best traditions at Texas State is the cheer program which recently competed at the UCA College Cheerleading National Championships in Orlando, FL where they had another great showing. Tryouts for the Texas State Spirit Program are scheduled for April.

The Jerry D. and Linda Gregg Fields Bobcat Stadium West Side Complex is the first of many improvements that will take place at Bobcat Stadium. The new state-of-the-art structure includes 15 luxury Legacy suites and a Champions Club Level with 450 open-air seats adjacent to a lounge giving fans premium comfort as they watch the Bobcats.

2008: Took fifth place in the pole vault at SLC Indoors, with a height of 4.95m (16-02.75)... At the Texas Invitational tied for seventh in the pole vault with a leap of 4.90m (16-00.75)...Won the pole vault at the North Texas Classic with a height of 5.05m (16-06.75)...Placed sixth at SLC Outdoor Championships with a mark of 4.75m (15-07).
2007: Finished just outside of the team scoring at the Southland Conference Indoor Championships, placing 10th at the meet with a pole vault of 4.75 meters (15-07).
2006: Helped the Bobcats dominate the pole vault competition at the season-opening Wes Kittley Invitational, tying for third with a vault of 4.45 meters.
High School: Lettered four years at Carroll HS as a pole vaulter for coach Jason Tucker ... Personal record is 15-7 ... Team won a district championship.
Personal: Jarrod Buddin was born May 25, 1987, in Dallas, Texas, to parnets David and Linda ... Has two siblings, Taylor and Alicia ... Major is undeclared.
