As the costs to run a top Athletics Program continue to increase, Texas State Athletics is looking for ways to secure the future of the program. Endowments will help grow the Texas State Athletics Program as we continue "The Drive" and to build on the success of our athletics programs. An endowment is a transfer of money or property donated to Texas State, usually with the stipulation that it be invested, and the principal remain intact in perpetuity. This provides an annual spendable income that becomes permanent resources in future years for future student-athletes. As we make the move to FBS, our scholarship needs will increase by 44, 22 for football and 22 for additional women's scholarships. Creating an endowment will leave a lasting legacy for you, future generations of your family, and Texas State Athletics starting at $25,000 per endowment. This allows for the donation to have a much greater impact over a longer period of time than if it were spent all at once.
