Bobcat Club 2009-2010 Membership Drive What's New for 2009-2010 Exciting things are happening with Texas State Athletics; three conference championships this past fall in soccer, volleyball, and football, the opening of a new baseball and softball complex, and the first phase of construction on the expansion of Bobcat Stadium has begun. All of these accomplishments are forward steps in helping Texas State Athletics achieve its goal of advancing to the FBS level in coming years. The Department of Athletics continues to be amazed by the wonderful support our donors and fans show year in and year out for the Bobcats. While changes have been made over time, the Bobcat Club continues to be the main arena for donors to support the athletic department. Now, more than ever, we need to increase membership numbers and dollars raised to support the need for increasing scholarship costs. With Phase One at Bobcat Stadium due to be completed by the home opener there will be changes to parking and pre-game hospitality.
Lot #1 - New parking in front of west side stadium expansion. Lot #1 pass holders will be for suite holders, presidential and athletic department guests, and essential game day vehicles. For the 2009 season and beyond, the new club and suite level will be the place in Bobcat Stadium where you can buy alcohol during the game. This equates to the following changes for the Sac-N-Pac Room as far as pre and in game hospitality: For the 2009 season, the entire Bobcat Stadium west side lot will be parking for Bobcat Club members only. The new parking in front of the west side stadium expansion will be used for suite holders and their guests. Parking benefits begin for Bobcat Club members at the Maroon Level, a minimum $350 donation. As you will see below the lot will be divided into sections allowing better parking for those donors who give at the highest levels to the Bobcat Club. The following diagram outlines parking for 2009: PRIME SEATING The Athletic Department chose to implement and enforce prime seating within Bobcat Stadium to reward generous donors with the best seats available in 2004. Since 2004, a minimum donation of at least $650 to the Bobcat Club afforded the donor the right to purchase up to 10 seats in Section C, and B & D under the overhang. This year, the athletic department has chosen to follow the Division I FBS industry standard and move to a per seat donation for the prime seating sections in Bobcat Stadium. The shift in policy comes at a time where dollars raised through contributions to the Bobcat Club are more critical than ever. The increasing demand for summer, medical, and fifth year scholarships, along with the additional scholarships that will be added once the FBS move is made makes increased giving to the Bobcat Club an absolute priority. A per seat contribution policy at Bobcat Stadium rewards donors by allowing them to purchase more of the best seats due to their generosity to the Bobcat Club.
