Loud Crowd partners with the Bobcat Club

In 2007-2008 the Bobcat Club announced an exciting partnership with the Loud Crowd! The Loud Crowd is the official student fan organization of Texas State University. The mission of the Loud Crowd is to promote school spirit both on and off campus and create the best home field advantage possible by ensuring that other teams know "This is Our House." The partnership with the Bobcat Club turned out to be extremely beneficial for both organizations.

Loud Crowd members chose to raise their membership dues from $15 to $30 with the mission being to donate back $15 from each member to the Bobcat Club and help support their goal of raising scholarship dollars for all student-athletes at Texas State, in particular, fifth year, medical, and summer school scholarships. In return, each Loud Crowd member became a Bobcat Club member, received a Bobcat Club car decal, monthly E-Magazine, and began a giving history with the athletic department.

"This is an extremely exciting and beneficial partnership for both organizations. The goal of the Bobcat Club in this partnership is to create brand awareness to our students while they are on campus so they know what the Bobcat Club is and how important our mission is to the Department of Athletics. We figured why not partner with our most passionate students that support athletics at the highest level. This alliance will see immediate returns early, but will be the most beneficial to Texas State Athletics down the road, while giving the students more access into the Athletic Department," Chris Park, Assistant Athletic Director for the Bobcat Club.

In the first year of the partnership, the Loud Crowd grew to 250 members and contributed back $3750 to the Bobcat Club. The Loud Crowd not only supported all the athletic teams at home but attended away games such as the football game at Baylor, the Southland Conference Tournaments for Volleyball and Women's Basketball, and to Austin, as our Volleyball Team competed in the NCAA Tournament. They have played a vital role in our athletic team's success on the court/field as well as in the classroom by their donation to Student-Athlete Scholarships. We are looking forward to continue to grow this partnership with the Loud Crowd and appreciate all that they do for Texas State Athletics.
