Jaclyn Bonavita is in her first year as a Student Development Specialist in the Texas State Athletics Department Academic Center. She is responsible for women's basketball and the men's and women's track and cross-country teams.

Bonavita comes to Texas State from Stony Brook University on Long Island, New York where she spent her playing and professional days. Bonavita, formally Daigneault, was a four-year starter and letterwinner for the Seawolves, where she also served as the team captain for two years. In her freshman season, Bonavita was named to the New England Collegiate Conference weekly honor roll five times for her on-court performance. At the conclusion of her senior year, she was recognized as an Outstanding Woman in Athletics, and was given the Oustanding Leadership and Service, and Academic Achievement awards.

Bonavita graduated in May of 2000 and worked as a tax accountant for KPMG, LLP in Providence, Rhode Island for one year. Shortly thereafter, Bonavita revisited the collegiate basketball scene and served as the Graduate Assistant coach at her alma mater from August 2001 - May 2003.

After completing her graduate work, Bonavita accepted an Academic Advisement Intern position by her graduate department at Stony Brook. Bonavita was quickly promoted to Academic Advisor, and she served in that capacity for nearly five years until coming to Texas State.

Bonavita holds a B.A. in Social Sciences, M.A. in Liberal Studies, and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Coaching. She is a native of Lincoln, Rhode Island and resides in San Antonio with her husband Antony.
