San Marcos - The Texas State Department of Athletics announced that it has launched a new webpage to help highlight its move from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision to the Football Bowl Subdivision.

"The Drive" webpage outlines the Athletics Department's plans, goals, along with its step-by-step progress in preparing for the move. Fans can view the page by visiting Texas State Atheltics' main website, www.txstatebobcats.com.

Two of the key components in "The Drive" is increased Bobcat Club memberships and season ticket sales.

The Bobcat Club funds summer, fifth-year and medical scholarships for each of Texas State's student-athletes and those demands will be greater once Texas State moves to the FBS. Fans can learn more about the 2008-09 Bobcat Club Membership Drive by going to the Bobcat Club webpage, http://txstatebobcats.cstv.com/ot/bobcat-club.html.

Current members also will receive "The Drive" information that will also include season ticket sales and Bobcat Club information through the mail in June.
