SAN MARCOS - Texas State University's athletic department is proud to participate in this year's American Heart Association Heartwalk scheduled for March 25 at Bobcat Stadium. For the second straight year, Texas State athletes have accepted the challenge to help fight heart disease and stroke by participating in the annual event.

Texas State's athletic department extends a special invitation to Bobcat fans to join one of the participating teams in this year's walk. The 5k walk through Bobcat Stadium and Texas State University is a great way to raise community awareness as the department helps fight heart disease in Central Texas.

The event focuses on preventing heart disease and stroke by raising money to support research and heart-healthy lifestyle programs.
