SAN MARCOS - Texas State fans may now purchase 2008 season ticket packages for baseball and softball online at txstatebobcats.com. Baseball ticket packages are 60 dollars while softball ticket packages are 40 dollars.

Single-game tickets will also be available for purchase online on February 4.

Bobcat softball opens its 2008 season with its annual alumni game on Feb. 2. The alumni game is set to start at 1 p.m. and admission is free. Texas State opens its regular season home schedule Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. against Big 12 power Texas.

The `Cats also host a three game series against New Mexico March 28-30 in addition to its Southland Conference schedule. Texas State is also the host of this year's Southland Conference Tournament from May 8-10.

Baseball's 2008 home season starts Feb. 29 with a three game set against New Mexico before hosting Northern Illinois the next weekend. The Bobcats will also host Rice on March 25 in a rematch of last year's 3-2 victory in San Marcos.

Other in-state non-conference opponents include TCU on April 2, Houston on Apr. 9 and Baylor on Apr. 23.

Additionally, Texas State will hold its annual baseball reunion weekend for alumni Feb. 8-9.
